Band Equipment/Sound System
The Highlanders' standard equipment ( which is included within the band's fee ) comprises the supply of a professional PA Sound System and Mixing Desk. If required we can also offer the further option of a Sound Crew & Road Manager/Sound Engineer - although these latter facilities are generally only necessary for larger engagements

Hearing The Highlanders
In the bandleader's view, the best method of assessing any band's worth is by a 'live' viewing. Whenever possible, therefore, we encourage prospective clients to visit the band on an engagement ( subject to the requisite that we have, previously, obtained the willing consent of our client. ) We do, however, require all 'guest' visitors to be correctly dressed and to respect any limitations whatsoever that our clients may care to impose

Performance Times
Most performances are based on the physical capabilities of the dancers and are of between 2½ - 3½ hours duration ( Reeling Parties excepted ) with one or two scheduled band breaks. The band would generally be set up and sound checked 30 minutes prior to the commencement of the agreed performance time, circumstances permitting

Travelling
The band is London-based and although distance is no object ( having travelled to Orton in Cumbria and Guernsey in the Channel Islands ) an evening meal plus overnight Bed & Breakfast may be required for long-distance engagements

Attire
Unless otherwise requested, the band dresses in Dinner Jackets with Red Ross Waistcoats and matching Red Ross Bowties

Advice
We are particularly pleased to offer advice on Staging, Band Siting, Dancefloor Area, Event Timings, First Dances, Special Requests, etc - please feel free to ask as we want you to have a great party.
