NB: In addition to our Scottish repertoire we are able to play many, easy-listening Standards such as: Moon River; Summertime; The Lady is a Tramp; Fly me to the Moon; It had to be you; Girl from Ipanema; Guantamera, et alia plus a limited selection of Pop and Rock songs, i.e., YMCA; Amarillo; Teddy Bear; Proud Mary, etc. Prospective clients: In addition to listening to our Sound Clips you are most welcome to attend a live performance! Do contact us for more information.Recording information. NB: These recordings were all made as live takes with no over-dubbing or other artificial studio devices. Furthermore, we do not play, or rely upon, electronic instruments thus ensuring that the band’s realistic and dynamic sound remains both authentic and uncompromised. Musical line-ups used in these recordings: Fiddle; Accordion; Guitar; Drums - Tracks 4 and 5. The balance of the Tracks were recorded with Flute doubling Piccolo. Band Information The Highlanders consist of a basic ‘fighting unit’ of four musicians - Violin (aka Fiddle); Accordion (amplified); Guitar (amplified); Drums (full kit.) Further instrumental augmentations, whenever required, include: Flute doubling Piccolo; Clarinet; Violin; Violin; Cello; Military Snare Drum - maximum of 10 musicians. The Highlanders band is supplied fully self-contained with PA and band lighting. |
